Korea District: A Historical and Cultural Overview
Korea district, located in the north-western part of Chhattisgarh, is a region steeped in history and cultural richness. Originally part of Madhya Pradesh, Korea district was carved out of Surguja district on 25th May 1998. Following the formation of Chhattisgarh state on 1st November 2000, Korea became one of its important districts. The district derives its name from the erstwhile princely state of Korea, reflecting its deep historical roots.
