Role of Oil Lubricated Screw Air Compressors

An oil lubricated compressor draws air into a storage tank after compression within the airend which houses the screw rotors. These rotors are lubricated using oil that helps in the dissipation of heat generated during the compression process. The oil injected in the compression chamber keeps the system cool by dissipating the heat and acting as a lubricant to lower the friction between the moving parts.
