Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) and Its Utility in Kidney Disease Diagnosis

Glomerular filtration rate is the measure of your kidney

function. An estimated GFR test (eGFR) indicates the level

of normal kidney function. It determines presence of any

kidney disease and its present stage. It also helps

determine the concentration of a certain waste product

called creatinine present in your blood which is an

indicator if kidney health.
